We often think of prepping our homes for when we’re ready to sell them but you got to prep yourself too as a buyer when your dream home lists. We are in a spring market like last year. Don’t let the house of your dreams slip through the cracks because you weren’t ready.
So what do you need to do today?
- Know your buying power: How much are you comfortable investing in this move? Talk live with the lender that will help with that. DM me for some great ones. Please don’t depend on the online tools. Everyone’s situation is different and you need a relationship when you’re ready to write an offer.
- Know the market: Don’t wait to engage when you see the place online. It is likely already had showings and other people are prepping their best offer before you’re even in the door. Believe me, most of my sales in the last year have occurred pre market or at least the buyer had a heads up and was ready to write day one of listing.
- Know your timeline: How quickly do you want to move or need to move. Some sellers want a lot more time in their house. Know how flexible you can be for them. This is a great way to start envisioning what will really work for your family. And knowing your timeline will help you have certainty when it’s GO time.
