Potential Recession

People are talking about a potential recession in this country. While I can’t tell you when or even if it will take place, many experts are calling for a short and mild recession by the end of this year. And you’ll be surprised to know that may mean good things for mortgage rates in the housing market. Data shows mortgage rates fell in each of the last six recessions in this country. That means historically in a recession, rates have come down. And while history doesn’t always repeat itself, this gives us an idea of what may happen next. If the higher mortgage rates we’ve seen this year have you questioning your home buying plans, you don’t need to fear the word recession when it comes to buying a home. Have questions? Let’s connect! While there’s no such thing as perfect advice, I follow what the experts say and what the data and market is telling us, and I give you the best advice I can.
